Each retailer chain operating regionally or across Poland sometimes needs to restore copies of fiscal transactions — receipts from a printer located outside of the company’s headquarters. In old models of two-station printers it is possible exclusively by manually searching through paper rolls with receipt copies. Advanced single-station fiscal printers store receipts in the form of electronic copies saved on an SD (or microSD) card. Such a solution, however, poses two basic problems:
- Every card may fail, so it is still necessary to regularly create a card backup (usually once a day).
- A memory card is still located at some distance from the company’s headquarters and its content needs to be copied and then sent to the headquarters in a file.
NGEJ (Next Generation Electronic Journal) system has been designed to eliminate these two inconveniences.
